What is Matariki ?

Matariki is the seven stars it is also a

cluster of stars. It is the Maori new year.

When is Matariki ?

Matariki is in the middle of may or june or at the first new moon or the full and it will rise at the 21st of June. The best time to see them is at dawn.

How do we celebrate ?

We celebrate by flying kites, having a feast ,or a bon fire or a big festival.We could do lots of different things to celebrate

This term we went into room 4 to work with SALLY. we learn WATER MAGIC.

Light rays usually travel in straight lines, but when they pass from one material to another they can be forced to bend (change direction and continue on a new straight path). The bending is called refraction. It happens because light travels at different speeds in different materials. If light rays travel through air and enter a more dense material, such as water, they slow down and bend into the more dense material. Light rays moving into a less dense material, such as from water to air, speed up and bend outwards.

Dear Mum and Dad The war is horrified we arrived by plane at the middle of the night. we could hardly not see anything in the pitch black. when we landed in the dirty trenches with our big cannons. we was preparing for war and sit down and loading our big guns.we fighted for 3 days I was very tired and exhausted a lot of people died people died

Yesterday I watch the anzac test the teams was playing was

nz kiwis vs australia the first score they had was 6 -6

then my uncle came to watch the game with me and me

then it was halftime the points was 6-12  the kiwis was winning

the game then the kiwis had 26 and the australian team had 12

then there was only 5 minutes left  and the kiwis was still winning and then it was full time and manu vatuvei was the man of the match because he had 2 tries. and then they had the big silver trophy.
